Hiatus Over (again:)

Wow, I've been gone a long time haven't I? I get too busy to take the time to document my busy ness. I think the easiest way to catch up (if that is even possible) is to just do a synopsis of my summer. So, ready or not, here goes...

Man, I hate to put this one up first...but...a large (pardon the pun) part of my summer was spent dieting...It was this picture that was the catalyst. Nuff said. This was taken at Darren and Marni Downs baby Caleb's blessing.

Soccer is always a big part of the spring for us. Here is Kaiden (#12) showing off his sweet soccer skills. He is a really good player, but more importantly, he is a good team player.

Kaiden, Kenzie and Chelsie before they went off the Bear lake for the summer.
And...still and forever "womb" mates...
We stopped at the Logan Temple on our way to Bear Lake for the twins to looks for jobs for the summer. Such a beautiful temple in any season.
May was a crazy, busy month for me: 1st week-3 weddings and a funeral, 2nd week-Mother's Day, 3rd week-4 weddings and a Bridal fair, 4th week-Memorial Day. These are pictures from Mother's Day.

What happens in the Macey's produce dept. stays in the Macey's produce dept. Clayton and Dennis harassing Alex (a daily occurrence).

One of the many weddings I did this summer. I loved the bright colors the bride and groom picked.

In between all of the happenings in May, we fit in a couple of trips to Bear Lake. This was the first one to take the twins up for the summer. We purchased an old RV for them to live in. What an adventure! Kali and Kaiden insisted it wasn't too cold to be in the water. I beg to differ.
This is what I like to refer to as "The Wall of Mums". Memorial Day display
More Memorial Day
Another trip to Bear Lake. Dan and Janeen let Kenzie and Chelsie put the RV (hereafter referred to as "Leonard") at their home. They had an empty trailer pad with full hookups. This is the view from inside their lovely home.
A dear friend of ours, Chris Prout, passed away from cancer. This was the funeral piece I created from his nieces and nephews.
Also in May, we helped Erin and Jared lay sod at their new home. It was back breaking labor but looked oh, so nice when it was done! P.S. It's also the same day I found out I was going to be a grandma! Holli and Matt are expecting on January 21! Yippppeeeee

Leonard had a few repairs that needed to be done on him so here is yet another trip to Bear Lake. still cool, but the kids still insisted on getting in the water. They couldn't wait for summer and neither could I! In this picture I've lost 17 lbs.

Yay, I made it to June!! The kids surprised me for Mother's Day and gave me a ticket to fly out and see Holli and Matt! What great kids I have! Love them...It was so relaxing and nice to spend time in Virginia. It was so much warmer than Utah at the time. We enjoyed our very first Pedicure!! Such a treat!
Ahhhh, smooth, polished and ready to go!
We spent a little bit of time resting as Holli was barely 5 weeks pregnant and exhausted! I remember how that feels! This was Sunday afternoon. Notice the flower on the table. I picked it off the Magnolia tree. Brought back memories of my childhood in California.
We celebrated Lindsey's (Matt's sister) birthday by floating down the Maury River on tubes! It was a long (4.5 hour) tour, but so relaxing and fun! Holli made Lou a fabulous Red Velvet cake (or so I'm told, I was dieting, remember).
Holli in her office. It was so fun to see where she works and meet her co-workers.
An amazing event took place in Ogden this summer. Vintage Cupcake opened up! They are amazing cupcakes in all different flavors and varieties. The store is so cute and shabby chic. I only tried one cupcake since i was dieting...
I am Stake Girls' Camp director and spent a good part of May and early June getting ready for camp. Here I am at the Marriott visiting Vicki and her family. I solicited everyone's help in putting together some cute necklaces for the girls and leaders ( 200!) Here is my niece Mallory, her husband Shaun and my bro in law Rob.
Girl's Camp! This is the back of our t-shirts and the theme of our camp this year.
The stake leaders were the African Queens
complete with our tiara's and scepters! Debbie Noseworthy and myself.
These girls and leaders were dumping coolers and buckets of water on the girls as they tubed under the bridge at Camp Atoka.
Danielle Vaughan presented a lovely fireside and sang some songs about the power of music in our lives.

We were so blessed to have Cheri Call come and sing and present a fireside for us on our last night at camp.
I'm so proud of Erin. She and her teammates rode their bikes 140 miles for Muscular Dystrophy. We went to Logan to see them finish up. We were a few minutes late, but still got to see them all right afterwards.
Another trip to Bear Lake, this one is for pleasure. We camped at the Traveland. Erin, Jared and Hamlet came with us. Jared brought their 4-wheelers and we all had fun on them as well as hanging out at the beach. Here are Josh, Chelsie and Kenzie.
My sweet grandpuppy Hamlet discovered he loves the Giant Roaster marshmallows
Another wedding. Love the colors. This arrangement was about 2 feet tall.
The Subaru sprung a leak in the radiator, so...up we went again to Bear Lake! We camped again and enjoyed the beach (I must say, my tan this summer was amazing:)
While Dave was fixing Subie, Kali, Kaiden and I rented a surrey and rode around Garden City.
We decided to take the kids and go to the caves up St. Charles Canyon. We had never been and it was amazing!
Kaiden and Kali in the cave.
Kali was blessed to be a participant in the Youth Spectacular and boy was it spectacular!!!
Aimee was able to come up for the program. Here she is with Kaiden who is happy to have his mom with him!

Me, 30 lbs. weight loss
We took another fun trip to Bear Lake and this time took Mike, Julie and their girls with us. It was an epic trip. The wind blew so hard, it took 5 of us to hold it up until we finally decided to just drop the poles and go out for pizza! There was a vacant trailer next to us that had an alarm radio going all night long, not to mention the less than stellar young adults camped next to us with the most vile language you've ever heard. Despite all of that, we had a great time! Erin trying to stay warm on the beach. It was a little cold one day.

Tyler, sleeping on the job.
Holli, 19 weeks pregnant, there's actually a baby in there!!
Another wedding. One of the many.
Now we're up to date...these are some cute flowers I made the other day. This weekend (Labor Day) we are having our 2nd annual Girls' craft weekend. This year we're going to stay in a cabin at Bear Lake (of course). I'll post more pics of the epic weekend we are about to embark on!
